Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods while maintaining strict adherence to DOT regulations
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance needs
- Plan efficient routes while optimizing fuel consumption and delivery timelines
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and issue resolution
- Maintain accurate electronic logging system (ELD) and delivery documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and priority loads
- Implement proper cargo securement techniques to prevent transit damage
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass mandatory DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Proficiency in using ELD systems and GPS navigation technology
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
