Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) for local and regional deliveries
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and optimize routes for maximum efficiency
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of specialized freight
- Comply with all DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and local traffic laws
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean professional appearance and customer service excellence
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation technology
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Austin-area roadways and Texas highway systems
- Proven safety record with zero preventable accidents in past 3 years
