Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A or Class B commercial vehicles to transport goods across the Houston metroplex and surrounding Texas regions.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and PrimeHaul safety protocols.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects accurately.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment to ensure safety and prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized driving environment, both inside the cab and the trailer.
- Handle all customer interactions professionally, ensuring timely and courteous deliveries.
- Accurately log Hours of Service (HOS) and maintain electronic logging device (ELD) compliance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and pre-trip inspection procedures.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends when necessary.
