Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) for local/regional routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations, pre/post-trip inspections, and HOS compliance
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual methods as needed
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and electronic logging system
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or delivery issues
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical concerns
- Represent the company professionally at client sites and during transit
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Jacksonville metro area and Florida highway systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate basic freight-handling equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend shifts as needed
