Responsibilities
- Operate Class A tractor-trailers for long-haul routes across the Southeast
- Safely transport freight while maintaining strict delivery schedules
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Use electronic logging systems (ELD) for compliance
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Document delivery receipts and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer ladders
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and ELD systems
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for overnight travel and irregular hours
