Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for local and regional deliveries within Washington DC and surrounding areas
- Adhere to DOT regulations and strict safety protocols for all vehicle operations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to ensure on-time deliveries and route optimization
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC metropolitan roadways and delivery zones
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
