Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional routes within Illinois and surrounding states
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with FMCSA regulations
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization
- Handle no-touch freight loading/unloading at client facilities
- Build strong relationships with clients and warehouse personnel
- Uphold company safety standards and DOT compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago area traffic patterns and logistics hubs
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for overnight regional runs (2-3 nights/week)
- Professional communication and customer service abilities
