Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel costs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding delivery status
- Load/unload cargo securely and verify shipment documentation
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of Michigan roadways and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
