Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for regional deliveries within Illinois and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate logbooks
- Load/unload freight with precision and care using provided equipment
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules and maintain customer satisfaction
- Complete necessary paperwork and digital documentation for each shipment
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago metropolitan area routes and traffic patterns
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting on the road
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
