Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers for local/regional routes
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time management
- Pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and documentation
- Maintain accurate logs and comply with FMCSA regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading
- Report mechanical issues and perform minor preventative maintenance
- Uphold company safety standards and zero-tolerance policy
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer ladders
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of Indianapolis metro area and surrounding routes
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for weekend shifts (Fri-Sun) and occasional overtime
- DOT medical certification required
