Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight distribution and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records in electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Navigate complex routes and traffic patterns in the Houston metropolitan area.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Ensure the truck cabin and cargo area are kept clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) as required.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
- Must be a US citizen or possess a valid work authorization.
