Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van reefers) for weekend delivery routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip documentation
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Handle loading/unloading procedures with proper equipment usage
- Communicate shipment status and potential delays to stakeholders
- Maintain clean vehicle appearance and basic maintenance checks
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in last 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Indianapolis metro area and surrounding regions
- Flexible availability for Friday-Sunday shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging and communication
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with temperature-controlled cargo preferred
