Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for weekend delivery routes across North Carolina and surrounding states
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure DOT compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient loading/unloading and route optimization
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving standards in all weather conditions
- Communicate effectively with clients and warehouse personnel to ensure seamless deliveries
- Represent Prime Logistics Solutions with professionalism in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification and TWIC card (if applicable)
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Proficient with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Flexible availability to work Saturdays and Sundays with potential for occasional weekdays
- Must pass background check and drug screening
