Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across Austin metro area
- Perform thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and DOT regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Report maintenance issues promptly to fleet management
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage
- Knowledge of Austin area highways and delivery zones
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Forklift certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
