Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logbooks (ELD)
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and route efficiency
- Ensure cargo security through proper loading/unloading and documentation
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Chicago-area traffic patterns and regulations
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility for irregular schedules and overnight trips
