Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes while managing delivery deadlines
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Maintain electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and hazmat certification a plus
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Experience with electronic logging systems required
