Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for long-haul routes across California
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Secure cargo and maintain compliance with safety protocols
- Utilize GPS navigation for efficient route planning
- Document delivery paperwork and maintain electronic logs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in last 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of California highway systems and regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for overnight trips and variable schedules
