Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers over long distances while adhering to DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques (no-touch freight available)
- Communicate with dispatch team and customers regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all safety protocols
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) for hours-of-service tracking
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of OTR/Regional trucking experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Hazmat materials (Hazmat endorsement preferred)
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Excellent time management and route planning skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
