Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/reefer) in compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes and maintain accurate delivery logs using telematics systems
- Inspect vehicles before/during/after trips to ensure safety and operational readiness
- Load/unload freight with precision and proper handling techniques
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and issues
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to company safety protocols
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report major repairs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service rules
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Southeastern US routes
- Physical ability to climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for overnight trips and irregular schedules
