Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks for local and regional routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while prioritizing safety
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route navigation
- Report maintenance issues and vehicle performance concerns
- Maintain clean driving record and follow all traffic regulations
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and logbook requirements
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Flexibility for early morning start times
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation systems
