Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for multi-state deliveries (Chicago, IL to GA routes)
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling techniques
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route optimization and timely deliveries
- Complete electronic logs and delivery documentation in real-time
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Represent company brand through professional appearance and customer service
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and electronic logging devices
- Experience with multi-state routing (IL/GA preferred)
- Basic mechanical knowledge for on-road troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
