Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/refrigerated) on regional routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs via ELD systems
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Ensure cargo security and proper documentation of shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Participate in ongoing safety training programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of hazmat regulations (HME endorsement preferred)
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Must reside within 50 miles of Charlotte, NC
