Responsibilities
- Safely transport goods across regional routes while adhering to DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of freight with proper securing techniques
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all traffic laws
- Complete necessary paperwork including delivery confirmations and incident reports
- Operate various truck types (dry van, refrigerated, flatbed) as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and regional geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Must be available for overnight and weekend shifts as needed
