Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Ensure proper loading/unloading procedures and cargo security
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients and dispatch regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and represent SwiftHaul professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with minimum 2 years experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with California highway systems and port operations
- Experience with refrigerated or flatbed freight preferred
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
