Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport goods across designated routes with on-time delivery
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Secure and verify cargo according to DOT regulations and company protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and resolve delivery exceptions
- Adhere to strict safety standards and participate in quarterly safety training
- Complete required paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Knowledge of HOS regulations and cargo securement techniques
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Texas roadways
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility for overnight regional trips (70% home time)
