Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across North Carolina and Southeast region
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring DOT compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure efficient loading/unloading processes
Qualifications
- No prior truck driving experience required – we train you!
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or commitment to obtain through our program
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Ability to pass background check with clean driving record
- Basic math skills for weight distribution and cargo documentation
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to travel overnight routes (2-3 nights per week)
