Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) and trailers on highways and local routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid state-issued driver's license (Class A or Class B preferred, but willing to train).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clear driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
- Willingness to undergo drug testing and background checks.
