Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for local deliveries within Washington DC metro area
- Load and unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and traffic laws
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Assist in training new drivers as you gain experience
- Represent our company professionally at all client sites
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior truck driving experience necessary
- Willingness to obtain CDL-A license through our training program
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Basic math skills for delivery documentation
