Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport freight across Ohio and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety policies at all times
- Load/unload shipments with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Manage delivery documentation and route planning for timely arrivals
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment updates
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license or willingness to obtain through our training program
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight distribution calculations
- Strong work ethic and reliability with punctual attendance
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends/holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and sit for extended periods
