Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods overnight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to meet tight delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch team regarding route conditions and ETAs
- Ensure cargo security and proper documentation for interstate shipments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) with weekend availability
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Familiarity with hazmat placarding preferred but not required
