Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for overnight freight delivery across Tennessee and surrounding states
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while ensuring cargo security and integrity
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Comply with all DOT regulations, HOS policies, and safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when required
- Submit timely delivery documentation and expense reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with regional roadways
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (typically 8 PM - 6 AM)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to undergo comprehensive background check
