Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for regional overnight routes within Tennessee and surrounding states
- Maintain meticulous trip logs, vehicle inspections, and compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload cargo with precision using provided equipment and follow securement protocols
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route conditions, delays, and delivery status
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while ensuring cargo integrity and on-time performance
- Utilize GPS technology and route optimization tools for efficient navigation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and HOS compliance
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Overnight shift availability (8 PM - 6 AM) with flexible scheduling
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices and fleet management systems
