Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- One year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic math skills for trip calculations and fuel management.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
