Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (53' dry van) for overnight delivery routes across Illinois and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols during all transit hours
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs (ELD)
- Secure cargo and ensure temperature-controlled compliance when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with at least 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Overnight shift availability (10 PM - 6 AM) with flexible scheduling
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening upon hire
- Knowledge of Chicago-area highways and delivery zones preferred
