Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, flatbed) across designated routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery scheduling
- Handle specialized cargo including hazardous materials (with proper endorsements)
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and digital documentation systems
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years commercial experience)
- Current DOT medical certification and HazMat endorsement preferred
- Proven ability to navigate urban environments and complex delivery zones
- Strong understanding of weight distribution, cargo securement, and safety procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic familiarity with GPS navigation and fleet management software
