Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Document delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding route status and delays
- Implement defensive driving practices in all conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Knowledge of Georgia/Nationwide highway systems
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic GPS and electronic logging device proficiency
