Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated) following DOT regulations and route schedules
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper documentation and handling procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system (ELD) records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Adapt to changing delivery conditions while maintaining on-time performance
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Familiarity with Miami-Dade traffic patterns and Florida highways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer literacy for digital documentation systems
- Spanish language proficiency preferred for diverse client interactions
