Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely and efficiently drive commercial trucks and trailers to transport goods to designated destinations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition and compliant with safety regulations.
- Load & Unload: Securely load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools, ensuring cargo integrity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and mileage records in compliance with DOT and company policies.
- Communication: Coordinate with dispatch and customers to update on delivery status and resolve any logistical issues.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company driving standards to minimize risk.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A: Possess a current, valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Clean Driving Record: Must have a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (OTR or Regional preferred).
- Physical Health: Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and meet the physical demands of the job (lifting, standing, etc.).
- Skills: Basic English proficiency for reading road signs and communicating with dispatch.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
