Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks on local and regional routes within a 150-mile radius of Indianapolis.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Class A preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle maintenance.
