Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT/ELD) and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT card).
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of navigation and route planning software.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving cargo up to 50 lbs.
