Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all necessary shipping and receiving paperwork (Bills of Lading).
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers while representing the company professionally.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training.
- Report mechanical issues to the maintenance department promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs, reckless driving, or major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local, regional, and interstate highway routes.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo manually (up to 50 lbs).
