Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight to various locations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage and maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Represent the company professionally at all times while on the road and at customer sites.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and a background check (including drug screen).
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety protocols.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overnight travel.
- Basic math skills for calculating tolls and fuel expenses.
