Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and comply with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery details.
- Represent the company professionally while on the road and at customer locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic math skills for toll and fuel calculations.
