Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery manifests.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues.
- Uphold company standards for cleanliness and professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with the appropriate endorsements.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no disqualifying violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight schedules.
- Willingness to travel to Boston, MA and various locations in Virginia.
