Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across Illinois and Midwest routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines while prioritizing safety
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and complete all required documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Illinois traffic laws and route navigation
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Flexibility for regional overnight travel and weekend shifts
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
