Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers within the DC metropolitan area
- Deliver freight to commercial and residential locations on strict timelines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization and delivery coordination
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial trucking experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with DC metro navigation and traffic patterns
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and weight distribution
- Strong time management and communication skills
