Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) to transport goods on assigned routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS systems to meet delivery deadlines
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and securement methods
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members
- Complete all required paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Knowledge of Texas roadways and ability to navigate efficiently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical loading duties
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and irregular hours
- DOT medical card and TWIC card preferred
