Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is secured properly to prevent damage.
- Verify load manifests and complete all necessary shipping and receiving documentation accurately.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate class endorsements (Class A preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
