Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional freight transport
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time load updates
- Ensure accurate delivery documentation and cargo security
- Represent Swift Transport with professional conduct at client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years OTR or regional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for securement tasks
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Flexibility for overnight regional routes (1-3 nights/week)
- No preventable accidents in last 3 years
