Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) to transport freight safely and efficiently to designated destinations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA and company standards.
- Secure cargo properly, ensuring the safety of the driver, the vehicle, and the merchandise.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts and logbooks, accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules, delays, and delivery instructions.
- Unload cargo at delivery points, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience (commercial trucking).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for 12 months.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
